The People's Plot
We are extremely lucky that the site comes with an outside space that we intend to use to grow seasonal produce for the community in the future. We’re having fencing installed to provide privacy and security to the space to ensure it is always safe and secure for visitors. The conifer trees sadly had to be removed – after 3 independent tree surgeons came and inspected them they were all unfortunately dying, had no root network and could fall at any moment – with members of the public attending the site this was the first job that needed to be completed. A natural and native hedgerow will be planted in the trees place and we will be using as much of the trees as we can, logs for raised beds, woodchip for natural pathways and tree stumps for natural seating.
