Garden Gathering: Growing, Harvesting & Sharing
We had a wonderful morning at our latest garden gathering, with plenty happening in the growing space!
We cleared away plants that had finished their growing journey, made space for the next season thinking about companion crops and planted some additional crops to enjoy in the spring harvest. We also had a fantastic harvest of the produce that’s still growing, helping to keep our fresh food flowing into the community.
We were also delighted to welcome Community Action Suffolk Food Team, who brought along leaflets and flyers to share with people receiving our food parcels — helping connect our community with other sources of support and information.
It was a brilliant morning of growing, harvesting, sharing and connecting. A huge thank you to all our wonderful volunteers, Community Action Suffolk and everyone who came along and helped make the morning such a success!
And finally… check out our giant pumpkin! It’s currently measuring an impressive 136cm in circumference. We’ll be keeping a close eye on it to see just how big it can grow!
