A Slower-Paced Open Morning in the Growing Space
It was a hot one for our latest open morning, so we took things at a slightly slower pace and enjoyed some good company in the growing space.
Rather than trying to tackle a huge list of jobs, we focused our attention on a few things that really needed us. Top of the list was our tomato jungle! We spent time stripping back some of the leaves, opening things up to create more light and space around the plants and helping the tomatoes make the most of the sunshine.
We also made a late attempt at planting another crop of peas. Our first lot were rather unfortunately discovered by the slugs, so we’re hoping this second sowing has a little more luck!
It was a lovely morning of gardening, chatting and enjoying the space together. A big thank you to everyone who came along, got stuck in and helped make it such an enjoyable morning — especially in the heat!
We look forward to seeing you at the next one.
